About This Resource List
This section of the Voices Israel website contains links to places we think poets will want to know about: writing tools, Israeli English-language poetry-related sites, literary magazines that accept international submissions, poetry archive and upload sites, poetry organizations, and more.
For your convenience, the list is divided into separate pages by type of resource (open the submenu from the menu bar above to see them).
Voices Israel members: this is your resource list! If you know about a useful resource that you think deserves a place in any of these lists - or a category we haven't covered yet - just drop a line to our Webmistress and we'll check it out (the final decision about whether to include a link rests with Voices).
For those who prefer to access the different resource pages directly from this page: here they are:
Help for poets lost for words - definitions, synonyms, rhymes and near-rhymes; dictionaries, thesauri.
Organizations, writing spaces, courses and workshops, magazines.
International organizations and poetry archives/compendia, and also some that are national-only in scope (and usually maintained by a national organization).
Here are mainly lists of magazines compiled by others, such as poetry organizations or poets. Some of the magazines of course will prefer work from within their own country, but Voices Israel members have published in many magazines that do not state that they accept internationally. It's a good idea to check whether this point is mentioned in a magazine's submission rules, before submitting. In addition, this page contains a few English-language poetry magazines that are definitely international in scope and may not be included in the lists - e.g. they are from countries where English is not the national language.
